Our Story
Phil and Alex Mossman, alongside our daughter Elsie, purchased Golden Lane Stables in October 2022. We instantly fell in love with the beautiful views of the Devon countryside and the tranquil setting. It seemed the perfect place to reinvigorate Alex's competition career and introduce Elsie to the joys of horse ownership
Alex has had her BHSAI for 15 years and has competed up to PSG on Kasper the Friesian, Medium on the sadly passed Gillmore, low-level eventing on Tinker and has future plans with 4-year-old Larry.
Phil works full-time in the aviation sector, and Alex in the education sector.

Kasper is a purebred Friesian whom I have owned since a somewhat unruly four-and-a-half-year-old. Having successfully competed at Prix St George for the last two years, he has taken a step back and is semi-retired.

.I owned Gilly from an unbacked three-year-old. He unfortunately passed a few years ago. He came 5th at the BD Novice Summer Regionals (at his first attempt) and was picked to support a South West BD Judges' training day. He ended his last season at Medium with a healthy score of 69%.

I bought Tinker as an unbroken 3-year-old and have taken my time with him. We have competed at ODE events at BE80 and he won his last competition on a double clear at only his third attempt at an ODE. Currently jumping British Novice BS as and when we can get out to compete.
Larry

Larry is currently growing into his long legs. He was supposed to only be 16 hands but is nearer the 17 mark. He is off to be backed in net few months. He has a really kind, gentle character but an incredibly active hind leg. I'm very excited aout his future.
Arnold

Pint sized friend for our pint sized daughter. Arnold will hopefully provide Elsie with years of lead reign hacks over the Blackdown Hills. He is very sweet with not too much of the Shetland stereotype. Ample floof to hide an ample tummy!
